There are quite a few things which made Don 2 special well before its release.One- The sequel factor to the first part which in its original and remake part was a masterstroke.Two- Return of SRK to the kind of role which added a new dimension specially after similar pathbreaking roles in Darr, Baazigar and even Anjaam.Three- The most important part being to see which actor will win the Best Actor awards.Apart from Ranbir Kapoor(Rockstar) there has been NO strong contender and this is the LAST big release of the year!Saying this lets get the dice rolling to see how Don 2 fares
Story- Don 2 begins in Thailand. Don surrenders himself to the cops and is sent to a Malaysian prison where he meets his old foe Vardhan. Don hatches a conspiracy to escape with Vardhan and they succeed as well. They reach Zurich, then Berlin. The motive is to rob the currency plates. It’s an unfeasible task, but Don takes the help of a hacker to accomplish his plans.
The first half of the movie is gripping in parts but still does not catch the viewer’s attention because of the story.Now we all know why Don(Big B) and remake of it (SRK one) were such good movies.It was because of the stupendous storyline.Don 2 does not really boast of a fab story.Infact its just a normal hiest packed with some mindlowing action sequences! In the second half; the movie hits a all time low with the romantic angle of Don and Roma during the hostage crises.Farhan Akhtar really loses the plot from here on.And even the climax is not a great shocker; its pretty much expected.
Thus Don 2 is a very average fare which ranks amongst one of the forgettable movies to come out of Farhan Akhtar s camp and SRK s kitty.Though SRK delivers his lines with much gusto and “ishtyle” ; with a lose storyline its just like fighting for a lost cause.Priyanka gets limited scope and does a OK job.Since entire movie has SRK in every frame no other actor gets a lot of scope to show his prowess.Having watched the movie in 3D I am really amazed as what was the need for 3D effects; its just a action movie and 3D viewing makes no special addon to it.Infact some scenes which are shot in less light makes viewing more irritating with 3D glasses.I would go with 2 of 5 stars for it!Watch it only if have PLENTY of time and you are a hardcore SRK fan!!

It would be nice if the reviewer or the admin adds a Spoiler alert if the movie story line is explained in the review. Many people would like to watch the movie but would only want to know if its worth watching or not. With the story explained people form wrong opinions sometimes.
